You who have made me see many troubles and calamities will revive me again. (Psalm 71:20)
The battles we face in this world are making all of us weary. The enemy’s attacks are getting stronger as the forces of evil seek to wound and discourage those who belong to Christ. Many believers are crying out for Christ to return soon and save them from all this darkness. We are indeed in the devil’s crosshairs and he is not backing down. His plan is to kill your hope, steal your joy and destroy your future. His arsenal is filled with weapons of lies and discouragement aimed toward every believer. His fiery darts of fear and doubt can pierce the hearts of struggling saints causing some to wonder if God really hears their prayers. We are all suffering the effects of a fallen world as we endure hardship of every kind. As difficult as it may seem, the truth remains that the victory of Christ is at the core of a believer’s every trial.
I read a great quote by Christian singer Wintley Phipps which said:
“It is in the quiet crucible of your personal, private suffering that your noblest dreams are born and God’s greatest gifts are given, in compensation for what you have been through.”
That profound truth should give hope to those who are going through serious trials. Keep in mind that all we fear is under God’s sovereign authority and plan. Our battles have been won, and although we still must fight the good fight, believers are guaranteed the victory. Those who belong to Christ are already standing in the winner’s circle surrounded by God’s angels. We are not alone nor left to fend for ourselves. We are a chosen people who will one day rule with Christ in heaven. The forces of hell and the darkness of this world cannot stop the royal future that Jesus died to give us. He has gone to prepare a place for us so wonderful that our finite minds cannot begin to comprehend the beauty that awaits us.
As great as that promise is, it may sound hollow right now when all you want to do is cry. Your painful trial is causing you to bow your head in sadness. Trouble seems unending. But true believers must trust their God no matter how impossible their situation seems. The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 12:12 that as we face trials we are to “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” That is what sets us apart from the world. We have faith that in all things, our God is enough. He will not leave us alone or allow us to perish. In the book of James, we are told, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. ” You can have peace even when it seems that all hope is gone when you understand in your heart that in the end, God has the plan! He is not waiting for you to be stronger, wiser or holier before he will help you. He already has the plan worked out. Tomorrow is in his hands and he will accomplish his purpose for you.
In Exodus 14, God led Moses and Israelites away from Egypt as Pharaoh and his army pursued them. As the army approached, the people of Israel feared greatly. They had come to the bank of the Red Sea and had no way to cross . Moses saw the enemy too but he told the people, “The Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again. The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent”. God then told Moses to lift his staff over the sea and divide it. After that, God did something amazing. All through the desert, the Angel of God, who was Jesus, led the Israelites by going in front of them as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. However, when they got to the Red Sea, the Angel of God, who was in front of the Israelites moved and went behind them. The pillar of fire also stood behind them coming between the army of Egypt and the people of Israel. God had the Israelites back! He protected them as the enemy drew near. There was no way that Pharaoh was going to destroy God’s people. In the end, God led his people to safety from between the parted water and used that same water to destroy the Egyptian army. God made a way where there was none!
Wounded warriors, never doubt that God is going to make a way for you too. He has your back covered! Your impossible situation is under his authority and he knows how to make it work out in his perfect plan for you. I don’t care how bad it seems right now, there is always hope if you will surrender it to Christ to do as he pleases. Be strong and believe. Remember discouragement is a lying spirit which ushers in doubt. Take your thoughts captive and line them up with the truth. We are so close to the glorious appearing of Christ. He is with your right now – you have only to be silent!
Dear Lord, make this truth clear to those who need your help now. Give hope to those who are facing battles that leave them wounded and feeling alone. Strengthen those with serious medical issues. Comfort those who are having marriage problems and relationship issues. Bless and provide for those with financial problems. I know, my Lord that you are in every one fo these struggles and you have the plan to work them out according to your purpose. Please Jesus, keep our eyes on you and not on our circumstance. Our hope is in you! Amen

thank you for these words Marianne 🙂 i have been through 2 cancer surgeries this year and miracle of miracles – i have been able to resist succumbing to fear or doubt. I laid down my burden and let Gods Will for me unfold. My path has crossed those who i did not know, to pray for me, and that gave me the strength to pray for others when pain seemed to overwhelm me. only 3 short years ago, I would have been overcome with despair and sorrow, but through our Lords’ grace and the support of heeding the words of his servants- like you – I am learning to yield to the path before me, rather than fight or run away from it. Peace and blessings to you Marianne, and prayers for the tribulations that the world tries to put in your path. Already victorious !

Satan is fighting like never before and he’s a loser, his best cannot ever compare to Jesus. Jesus has us set up and all we have to do is pray and wait. Even when we doubt and fear God comes to our rescue, every time. The table is set here and there is plenty of good food for our hearts, mind and soul! I’m so glad to know you Marianne and love ya! 😀

Dearest Marianne,
I am so happy to read this one because these facts match with what I learnt in these 2 months. It feels like a confirmation message from God.
I do wish to share few things that I learnt.God showed me the extent to which the devil can fake things,I mean I was taken by shock when the devil was using 2 saved trusted Christians in my life to discourage me, I mean in all ways wherever I turned many times, the evil one was trying to put me down but am so thankful that God gave me discernment I could clearly see at all times where the evil one was prowling.I had nightmares(faking scary dreams) and it was trying to tell me how difficult it could be to serve God,etc.I have overcome the devil every single way it attacked me.I am so glad the Lord fought the battle and I watched in awestruck silence.
This one incident was the extreme. On 12th Jan this year.,a great miracle happened. An electric heater( which is guaranteed to stay on the wall even if lost connection), fell on the exact place where I had stood on the bathroom EXACTLY ONE SECOND,after I stepped out and not even one small broken piece of it even touched me.The electricians who came to remove the leftovers awed and said that girl should have died today for it had boiling water and weighed half more to my weight.,It was when I was extremely strong in Christ, and the devil tried to kill me,coz heaters are given settings to remain on the wall even if lost connection.
This only makes me realise how potential my mission can be.Many times devil brings very scary things into my life trying to show me scary stuff like once on 5th march,2011,I was attacked by an evil spirit and have had so many nightmares.BUT ALL I KNOW AND SEEN IS THE DEVIL IS A BIG-TIME LOSER.
Thanks for having the patience to read through :),am praying for your marriage and your mission.
YOU ARE A LOVING MIGHTY WARRIOR IN GOD’S POWERFUL ARMY,my dearest,
May God use you more and more for His glory and build of His kingdom in all splendour as you through your life add diamonds to His crown,Our King,
With warmth and high regards,

This message blessed me. Right now I am under attack. I was offered a job that allowed me to move closer to family. I & my husband quit our jobs to move. During the moving process the job offer was taken. So it was my husband and I and 11 month old baby in a new place with no other option than to move in with my mother. Since moving in with my mom my husband has been gone a month. (He left us) my car has been repossessed. I have been blessed with temporary employment & now my mother is arguing with me about the first little itty bitty check I’ve made. I gave her $200 & offered to give her $200 a pay period until I get a better full time job. That is not what she had in mind at all. I can’t do more, the bottom line is I AM UNDER ATTACK. I don’t doubt God at all, but I wonder what I am suppose to learn from this & I just want him to get me out of Egypt. Pray with me that this storm will end soon. Thanks for the encouraging message

Hi Tiffany, I know it all seems so overwhelming to you right now. That is tough to have your life turned upside down. The good news is that Christ sees where you are and in everything you go through, he is at the center causing it all to be used for your good. Stay in prayer and don’t let the situation with your mother get you discouraged. Know that God can work even that out for his purpose for your life. Don’t forget that when all is said and done, it is still God who has the unfailing plan for you. You may be weary right now but even that you must surrender it all up to God for his help. I am praying for you, dear sister. Please stop back anytime or email me when you want to talk privately. As difficult as this trial is right now, God has a time for it to end. Until then, stay in the hope that Christ died to give you. He will get you and your family through this somehow. You are not alone!

Thank you…Thank you…Thank you for this message!
I am a 33yr old female that has had a very strong desire to be a wife and mother for many years now. I have been praying for God to bless me with a mate (the man He has ordained to be my husband) for at least seven or eight years now. I try my best to remain faithful, but it gets so hard when I see loved ones that have shared my same desire and prayer be blessed in this regard while I’m here…waiting.
I have been told, and I do agree that I’m a good, well-rounded, and attractive Christian woman. People are always shocked to know that I’m not married or even dating anyone. They probably would faint if they knew that I haven’t even been on a date since I was 25 or 26. I DON’T UNDERSTAND!!! I been told that I am a very approchable person, but literally, almost my whole life guys NEVER approach me. It seems like I am invisible. For lack of a better word, it really makes me feel like a weirdo. =(
I stand on God’s promises, trying my best to stay encouraged, but honestl, it gets so hard when it seems that God is moving for everyone except me. I have cried many tears over this issue. As a matter of fact, I’m crying now. When I talk about it it just makes me feel sad.
They enemy wants me to believe contrary to God’s word. I know God has a plan for me. I know I have to stand. I’m just ready for God to grant me the desires of my heart. I’m ready to be blessed (and be a blessing) in this regard. I’m ready for my NEW day.
Am I being unreasonable?

MNK, I know that it is difficult to wait for God to give you the desire of your heart. It is natural to want a husband and family. I do not know what your situation is, but I know that no matter what it seems like, God still has the plan. I will be praying that you will know the path God has for you and the one he will bring into your life. I pray that you will wait on the perfect timing of God and not try to make it happen on your own. You deserve the right spouse and that is what I hope for you. I know how sad you are and you probably feel so lonely. My sister, God did not create you for failure. He alone knows what is good. He is not going to fail to give it to you. For now, please know that you are being lifted up in prayer and that God sees your pain. Please know that you can email me anytime you want to talk. The bible tells us that God has a season for everything he does. He will help you, my sister. Be strong and believe. I am here for you.

Good Morning my brother and sisters,
I pray that God is giving you all the strength you need to overcome the evil in this world. God gives us the authority to put the devil and his demons under our feet, Why aren’t we using that power? why do we continue to allow the devil to have the victory in our lives through doubt, fear, worry or discouragement? Jesus has overcome the world through his death on the cross, when we are a child of the most high God, we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. We have to claim God’s promises every day and we also need to rebuke the devil every day. He has come to destroy our relationships with our husbands or wives and our children. He main purpose is to get us to doubt that God loves us or is there for us. But read John 3:16 again, For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten son, that whosoever beliveth in him, shall not perish but have everlasting life. He gave his son to die for us, that is a love we can’t comprehend. No matter what you or I go through on this earth it is nothing compared to what Jesus went through for us. We just need to praise God every day and in every situation. We have to know that God is with us and he will answer our prayers in his time. Believe me i know how hard this is for i am in a major storm in my life. But I know my God will deliver me and my husband from our enemies. i was studying Psalms 8 Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the Lord hath heard the voice of my weeping.9 The Lord hath heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer.10 Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly. Also Psalms 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. I love the word of God, he is our hope in this world, just remember one day soon he is coming back for us. He wants us to trust him with everything in our lives, through the good and the bad. I know my God hears my prayers and he will bring my husband back home. I know he will restore all of our marriages, we just have to keep the faith in him and keep praising and lifting up the name of Jesus. Live your life so others see Jesus in you. praying for you all and love you all. Susan

Hi Marianne,
It’s been a while since our last correspondence. I pray this message finds you blessed in every area.
I won’t be long-I just need you to pray for me regarding the issue I mentioned the last time. I KNOW without a doubt that God has a great plan in store, but why do I cry while waiting. I turned 34 yesterday…while I was in the company of loved ones I pretended to be juuust fine, but when I was alone I cried and cried and cried. Why does waiting have to be so painful. I’m tired of crying.Tired of pretending. Ready to have joy.
Thank you for listening…thank you very much. Please keep me lifted.
Many Blessings to You!

Hi Marianne!
I hope this message reaches you doing well. I just wanted to BRIEFLY let you know that I finally got it! You tried to make me see and believe that God is with me, and does have a plan for my life…a good one. I was so consumed in doubt that it literally overtook every area of my life. I had become a difficult person, and that is not who I am.
I’m still waiting, but now I’m doing so with expectancy…taking it one day at a time.
Thank you for your encouragement and prayers!
Be Blessed!

MNK, You just made my day. Good for you, dear friend! It isn’t easy to wait upon God but when you do, you are never disappointed. And when you pray, you do so with expectancy for your God sees and hears your plea and he is working all things out to be just right for you. We read in Psalm 5: 3 that, “in the morning I lay my request before you and wait in expectation”. That was written by King David who trusted God with all his heart. For that, God was always faithful to David. My friend, the Lord knows the desires of your heart. Trust that he will not fail you. I will continue to keep you lifted up in prayer and remember that I am here when you need to talk.

What an incredibly encouraging word, especially the quote from Wintley Phipps. This trial that I go through, especially betrayed by a senior pastor has been long, and arduous. But God has been close beside and been my refreshment. Thank you for the encouragement.

Hi Dan, I am glad you stopped for a visit. I am so happy that you were blessed by this article. Sorry about what you are going through. I am also going through a betrayal by someone close to me. It is very painful but like you, God has been drawing me close to him during this time. It is in his shadow that I feel peace despite was has been done to me. In all that comes against us, God allows only that which bows to his will for our lives. It must serve his purpose. I take comfort in that. Stay in peace, dear brother.

I asked God to answer me and fill me with encouragement b/c I have been praying and interceding for someone close to my heart for over 7 yrs someone with asperger ( Asperger’s syndrome is a developmental disorder that affects a person’s ability to socialize and communicate effectively with others, like a mild form of autism ). I have battling through prayers for him. I believe with all my heart that he will believe and be saved. I believe this person and I crossed paths for a higher purpose God’s purpose. but right now I am going thru a tough time regarding this a trail, I am hurting and at times I grow weary and weak but I know that God is in control of it all. I pray he gives me peace and so much strength and courage thru this right now bc it’s hard. 7 yrs battling against the enemy through constant prayer for this person and I know the victory will be God’s. His word is what keeps me going through so many things I have endured as a single mom of 4. I love God he is my ROCK my father, best friend , my provider my WORLD. Thank you for this website. God answered me right now thru this message I read ” wounded warrior” bc I feel this way but this wounded warrior will get up bc God will lift me up and Never give up on me or this man Jose I am praying for.
Thank you God Bless you all always!

Hi Mel, I am so glad that God brought you by here to see the message he had for you. Each time he gives me his words, I pray as I write them that he will bring those here for whom he had intended. Whatever you are going through, my friend, there is always hope in Christ. As bad as it may seem, God will always be bigger and more able to take you through your pain. Don’t look at your circumstance, for it has no power to destroy you. Look to Christ, the authority over all. Be blessed today, dear friend.

Hi Derell, I am glad you stopped by. Hopelessness is a lie that the enemy puts in your mind. It is not the truth for with Christ you always have hope and a future with promise. My friend, you need to keep your eyes on Christ and let the truth be your guide. Whatever is troubling you has no power to destroy you if you have surrendered to Jesus. Can you trust him, Derell? You need to understand that he has a perfect plan for your life even if it seems like your world is crumbling at this moment. Don’t be afraid. You cannot be destroyed by the trials of this life. Jesus died to give you an abundant life. Let him work out your struggles. Stay in the word and read your bible each morning. Just a chapter. It will take you less than 10 minutes but it will be the force you need to stay in the race and not give up. I am praying for you. You are never alone.

Salvation comes from surrendering to Christ. It is the best choice you will ever make!
