“Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall” (Psalm 55:22)
I know that times are tough and everyone is being hit with seemingly endless trials and tribulations. As the devil realizes that his time is growing short, the furor of hell has darkened this earth. We are living in a time of deception when many are compromising the truth. In an attempt to mollify those who just want to hear what tickles the ear, false teachers have watered down the gospel to the extent that even the devil isn’t offended! It is no wonder that as life’s storms grow fiercer, many people are having difficulty trusting that God’s power is enough.
The absolute truth to this is that Christ will always have the authority over everything that touches your life. God does not take a walk to the other side of heaven and forget about your pain and heartache. He sees each tear you shed. He has a full view of all that concerns you. All the storms in a believer’s life are permitted for an eternal reason. You are being made stronger and powerfully equipped for battle as you grow in your understanding of God’s limitless power.
It was with this knowledge that Job was able to cry out , “I know my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth” ( Job 19:25). Despite losing his children, his fortune and his health, Job still believed that God was with him! He said of God, “When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” (Job 23:9-10) You don’t have to see God to know that he is with you every second and leading you on the path that he has chosen for you long before the foundation of the earth. The devil himself can see God’s presence and protection surrounding you. One thing I have said before but is important enough to say again and that is that everything that comes against you MUST bow to the will of God for your life! You have nothing to fear for God will be with you to the end.
The perfect love of Christ breaks the bondage of fear. You belong to Christ and his will for your life cannot be hindered by any of your problems or weaknesses. Neither the world, the flesh nor the devil can alter the purpose and plan of God for you. There are no impossible situations for God. You need to look past the fiery furnace of every affliction and see the presence of Christ who is there to protect you. He alone has the final word on what happens to you in every circumstance. Problems increase when you start doubting that God will help you. It always leads to failure when you can’t wait on God and try to work things out your way. Nothing will prevent Christ from completing the job he started in you. Your pain will not crush you and it has no power to destroy you. When you shrink back in fear over your problems, you allow the lie of Satan to rule in your life.
I know that you may be feeling overwhelmed by all that is causing you pain right now, but don’t give up. You need to remember that Jesus paid the price for you to have an abundant life in spite of all the troubles you face. As he was dying on the cross for us, he cried out with his last breath, “IT IS FINISHED!”. That means that nothing on this earth can keep you in bondage! You have been set free. Anything that opposes God’s will for you has now been rendered powerless. The impact of those words should stay in your heart always. Victory is living within you and the power that raised Christ from the dead is now your strength. The trial you are in cannot take you from God’s sight nor stop him from helping you.
In order to defeat the enemy, you must know the truth. In James 4:7, we read, “Submit yourselves; then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you“. The main command is to “submit yourselves to God” first. It is by humbling yourself before him and trusting that he will help you that you get all the strength that you need to make the devil and his schemes flee from you! The forces of hell shudder at the sight of one believer in prayer who trusts that God can do all things.
YOU are that believer! Let go of the lies and begin to trust in the power of God. He will keep you in his perfect peace beyond your power to understand. You can take God at his word who says: “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast because he trusts in you.” ( Isaiah 26:3)
God is with you and I will be praying for you. You are never alone!

Yes this is so true, I found this website in the midst of my storm and I was in such a bad place in life, but I would pray daily, surround myself with other believers and I eventually came through my storm, I know its hard to hear “trust God” especially when people dont know exactly what you are going through but as first hand witness I beg anyone reading this to trust him, PLEASE trust him and he will see you through ANYTHING. God is good and he can take us from the pits of earthly hell to the top of any mountain!

Good for you, Tony! You just showed your faith. It is in the midst of the storm that you prove yourself to be a true child of God. Anyone can have faith in the good times. It is in the valley experiences that test us and strenthen us and show the world that our trust in Christ is our real strength.
I hope you are okay now, Tony. Thank you for visiting and commenting. I pray God blesses you with his favor.

Marianne, this post is very inspiring. James is one of my favorite books in the Bible. I was recently reminded, and your post confirmed, that Everything that I do in this life must be done trough God, I must first submit to God before making any decisions. I strongly believe in serving the poor, but I cannot successfully do it without using God’s strengths, not mine. I don’t own anything in this life, but God does, including me. I appreciate your posts. God bless you!

Marianne, how wonderful it was to read and be reminded again, that Jesus is King and nothing can separate us from Him. We all are going thru so much these days that it is easy to lose sight of our goal and our God.
Thank you for putting it back squarely in our faces.

Marianne,
Thank you so much for this post today. My husband and I are separated (his choice not mine) but I know that the Lord is holding our family firmly in His hands. Satan’s job is to tear families apart, but it is God’s intent that our marriages and families directly reflect our relationships with Him and they glorify Him.
Satan is a liar, and has done an amazing job at hiding the truth from my husband. My prayers are consistantly for him as he walks down the path of darkness, decieved by his own pride, anger, unforgiveness and self-righteousness….Being told that God has called him to be separate and alienated from his wife and children… when a true child of God knows that that is a trick of the devil, and not from God.
However, I remain faithful to God, and because of that I also remain faithful to my covenant marriage…despite what my husband’s choices are, and I am only able to do that through the strength, love and wisdom of Jesus Christ.
I spent too much time in my life alienated from the truth of God’s Word, and I am eternally grateful for His forgiveness, grace and mercy. I refuse to spend another day without praising God for all of the blessings that He has given me through this horrific storm. I too, walk with the faith of Abraham and Job, knowing that God’s promises will always be fulfilled.
Life is short, and I have learned…through God’s Word and by His Grace….that my joy comes from above. My storms and trials may be for years to come, but I know that nothing is impossible for those who love the Lord. I have also learned that when I place my utmost faith in the Lord, and take my days one step at a time…..even in the midst of the storm….there’s always something to thank God for.
Again, thank you for this article, and many of the others that I have read over the last few months. I can’t tell you how many times your articles have shined the light on a very dark time, and enabled me to focus on the truth of who I am in Christ, and who He is in me.

A very timely and helpful post. My family and I have been under an especially intense attack from the enemy for the past two weeks. It probably shouldn’t be such a challenge for me to realize that nothing false ever comes from God, and that anything that IS false is from the world or Satan (or my own flesh). But sometimes it is a challenge for me – I have to keep reminding myself that I resist the devil BY drawing close to God and His Truth.

I can’t remember what it was that I googled that brought me here, but I’m so grateful for the Holy Spirit for bringing me here. After reading this blessing of a blog, and the comments below it, I see that so many of us are in a desert season, and maybe at various stages of it. I have such a heart for those who feel God’s promises to them are long overdue, and they are waiting beyond anything they thought they’d ever have to wait. They’ve gone through even questioning whether they heard God right about the wonderful promises He’s made them, or whether they missed Him somewhere along the way. And yet, there is this feeling that they just can’t give up. They don’t know how or when but they know that God has promised it, and so He shall do it. I am in this place to, and finding this blog is such a blessing. Your words are so heartfelt and encouraging. The Holy Spirit is in you and that is evident in how you are able to minister to all of us who are coming through a long season of trials and expecting the mighty Hand of God to move in our lives.
Something in me is believing that this month of April is the month so many of us will have our own resurrection and restoration in the LORD. Amen and Amen for all of us who continue to wait. Amen.

Hi Ministry Addict, You cannot lose when you do exactly as you say and to draw close to God, submit to him, and then watch the devil flee along with his attacks. Satan left Jesus after tempting him in the garden because he could see that he wasn’t winning. Jesus stayed close to the Father and obeyed him unto death. There was no room for Satan to ever get a foothold on Jesus. We must do the same!

God Will Do It: I am so glad that God brought you here. Your comment and words of wisdom are just a blessing to us all! We all suffer in some areas of our lives and it helps to know that others are holding onto the promises of God and finding comfort in doing so. As we celebrate Christ’ resurrection, I am also praying for everyone here to experience a release from the pain and struggles that entomb them. My prayers are with everyone who visits here whether they comment or not. God gives these messages for me to write and I know he has a way of speaking to the heart of everyone who is seeking his help.
I hope you will stop back and share with us how God is taking you through your desert season. You have a way of encouraging us all. God bless you, dear friend!

Anonymous: I am so sorry for what you are going through. It is heartbreaking how the lies of Satan have torn so many families apart. I will be praying for you, my sister. I know how painful your situation is. I am thrilled to see that you have an attitude of surrender to the will of God in pain. Your faith surely honors God! When you take one day at a time, trusting God to get you through that day, you are showing the enemy that you will not be deceived by him. Keep up your bible reading. There are many stories on how God used the faith of his people to do mighty things. He is going to do the same for you.
I will be lifting you up each night and I pray you will stay in peace knowing that God is with you. Please email me if you want to talk privately. I have more I would like to share with you. My email is: commish07@zoominternet.net
One of my favorite memory verses is from 2 Timothy 1:12 which says: “For I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that he is able to guard that which I give to him for this day”. All of my storms and struggles all come down to this truth. I KNOW my God and I KNOW his power and love for me. I can trust him with my impossible situations and I can trust him with my life. I know that he will not fail me and I know that he is with me always. What can I possibly fear?
Nothing is stronger than the God we serve. He is there for you also. I will be praying for you! Stay in peace.

I like the point you make about ‘allowing the lie of Satan to rule our lives’. I really believe that is the battle – determining when it is the lie that we are hearing. I don’t know of anything you said that I agree with any more than, “In order to defeat the enemy, you must know the truth”. I use the example we’ve heard about counterfit currency; how do you know the counterfit from the real thing? By being very familiar with the real thing.
I wrote a poem called ‘The Battle for Our Faith’. In it are these two lines:
God tells us His truth. Satan counters with lies.
Each after our faith; each equally vies.
Great post.

Excellent comment, Mike! We must be familiar with the real thing in order to know the counterfit! I believe that it is for that reason that Satan distracts people from reading their bibles. If he can get you away from the truth, he wins. The only way to know your God is to spend time with him!
Thank you Mike for adding depth to my message. I appreciate you stopping by. And I absolutely love your poem! I will be over now to check it all out. God bless you, my friend.

Oh the father of lies and the things he wants us to believe…
Here are just a few:
God does not hear your prayer, so why pray?
If God is good, why did He allow…?
How could God forgive someone like you?
Your sin is no big deal.
Did God really say?
You cannot trust the Bible.
That is just a few of his lies, do not listen to them. Jesus said “ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Jesus is truth. His Word is truth.
Thank you Marianne for another great post and may God bless you,
Ken

That is so true, Ken! The one tool Satan uses to confuse and frustrate us in our trials is DOUBT! If he can get us to think that God does not care or will not help us or forgive us …..then he wins! As you said, know the truth.

Marianne,
This was a beautiful reminder that we all need to hear.
The power of God is not limited by our weaknesses, but like the Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 12:10, “His power is made perfect in our weakness; therefore I will glory in weakness, in persecutions, in troubles that His power may shine through me.”
I stand ready, tempting Satan to try and attack because I know that He that is in me is stronger. Too many people cower away from Satan, but he is a “wimp” when standing against the awesome, limitless power of God.
Thank you for your faithfullness to Him.

Hi Steve, I am so glad you visited and shared your insight with here. Your verse from 1 Cor. is the one that I use when I feel defeated by my weaknesses. Once we realize that our power is never going to be enough anyway, we can rest knowing that Christ died to give us his power in ALL that comes against us. That is how we can have peace despite our troubles.
I am glad to meet another friend and I hope you stop by again. God bless you,my brother.

Thank you so much for this very inspiring post. This week, it seems that everything is not going my way. (my close friend got expelled, I lost my USB which contains all my important files, I left my important paperwork in a restaurant, etc.) But your right, despite all this “bad luck” , God is still with me and that is what matters most. God’s presence in our lives is more than enough in removing the negativity brought into our lives all by our problems, difficulties and misfortunes. All we have to do is to submit ourselves to Him, and He will take care of us.

Hi Cathy, Actually, I like all your posts.
Most of us are in some trial or furnace that is afflicting us in our lives. It is so hard to wait upon Christ to take us from it. Now, that of course doesn’t mean that you do nothing when it is in your power to. All that means is that when you get to the end of yourself, don’t keep trying to make something happen on your own or seek the help of man to do what only God can. The hardest move of faith is to wait on God’s timing. But the victory that comes to you when you do far outweights the pain of waiting. And we all know, God is never late.
God bless you,my friend, and keep writing.

“God does not take a walk to the other side of heaven and forget about your pain and heartache. He sees each tear you shed. He has a full view of all that concerns you.”
I love how you put this Marianne. We listen to others talk about their struggles and think about them in our own life and your statement is a great reminder that God in fact sees all. We tend to focus on Scriptures that discuss our private life in a negative way, and that everything unseen will eventually be exposed. This is certainly true about our sin, but when we feel alone in our struggles, God sees that as well, and knows and cares. Thank you for the reminder of this today!

Hi Marianne,
The Holy Spirit lead me to this website. I believe this with all my heart. I have been going through some battles that are too detailed to mention here. However, I am trusting God through it all. It has not been easy, but I refuse not to trust Him. I have cried many tears and between sobs I praise God and thank Him for what He is doing. I thank Him for what he has done in my life.
I would have to say that this is the worst trial I have ever been through. So many attacks from different people, circumstances, etc. But I know that He will deliver me. He promised to.
I say to all my brothers and sisters DO NOT LET GO OF HIS PROMISES TO YOU. The enemy wants to run off, he wants to keep you from trusting in God and His word. Cling even tighter, refuse to let go. God will see us through. He promised. Refuse to be fearful. Trust Him. Trust Him. Trust Him.

Hi Michael, your faith sends a powerful message to me and all who read this. Your ability to trust that God is a shining example of faith in action. You give God your heart not just your words. Whatever your struggle, God is bigger! I have said it before, but all those attacks and painful trial you are enduring were allowed by God to bring you closer to him. They have no power to destroy you or to stop the perfect plan for your life. Never surrender you joy to the enemy no matter how fierce the battle gets. By faith you know that you don’t have to see or hear God to know that he is working all things out for you. If God could hold back the sun for Joshua to win the battle, he can help you defeat your problems too. It was God who took down the enemy’s wall when Joshua and the Israelites circled it seven times. They just did what God told them to do. God did the rest and brought them the victory. You keep that same attitude and be strong. Your God won’t fail you! The devil knows that God is with you. Don’t let his lies tell you anything different.
I am praying for you, dear brother!

Dear Marianne,
I believe that God lead me to your website for a reason. I need so much prayer in my life right now against doubt, fear, sadness, & depression. I am living a nightmare right now. My marriage has been under attack since last year from the enemy that declares war against us. I love my husband very much despite it all. The enemy of our souls is feeding my husband with lies and is entrapping him in sins. We have been separated for months now and are far away from each other. I know in my heart that God will help us find our way back together. I just need prayers for us in the meantime that God is working on our situation. I don’t know how long i’ll have to wait, even if it’s seem very silent right now, i know that God’s promises will come to pass. Please pray for faith to God our father for me in this very difficult trial of my life. May God bless you all in the name of Jesus Christ.
Sincerely broken hearted

Dear Broken hearted, I know your pain, my friend, and I will be praying for you and for your marriage. It is the ploy of the enemy to break down marriages everywhere! Many are going though these struggles now! You just keep praying for your husband unceasingly. No matter how bad it gets, keep praying. We serve a God who knows where we are and knows how to heal our marriages and keep us in his peace. Whatever happens, God will be with you to take you through it. Your are feeling weary now but God will put others to pray with you and to help you in this situation. I am here for you. Please feel free to write anytime. My email is on the blog if you want to talk privately. It may seem like God is silent and that he doesn’t hear you but that is not true. Without you knowing, he is working behind the scenes to do what is right and perfect in your life if you trust him. My dear sister, keep waiting in faith and God will reward you and help you no matter what happens. The most important thing you can do is to read your bible everyday. The only way that you are going to be able to defeat the enemy and to stay standing in the battle is to know the truth of the God you serve. You can find all of his promises for you in his word. When the devil attacks you to make you think no one cares or that you are going to be destroyed by this situation, the truth of God’s word says that you have the victory. Read a little each morning. You will be surprised at the power you have just from hearing from God through is word.
Remember that we all are going through bad times in these dark days before Christ comes back. But we are never alone. God will command his angels to surround you and guide you on the right path. Jesus died to give you a future, my friend. The devil can’t steal the plan for your life which was set into place long before you were born. Be strong and know that I will be praying for you each night. Be sure to let me know how you are doing. God’s peace will be with you.

Dear sister, I will continue to keep you and your family in prayer. I cry out to God for each of these requests. I pray that you will continue to find peace in Christ . Your situation may seem hopeless but we serve the God of all hope and immeasurable power. I could not continue in my own life if I did not know that to be true. I pray for your marriage and for God to provide and protect you and your family. I don’t know what is going to happen in your circumstance, I only know that God is going to work something out for your good. I know he won’t fail you and that his love will be enough for all of your needs. I am here, my friend. My heart is still with you and I will keep praying. I trust that God hears and I trust that he has a plan for your life. That is all we both need to know. Stay strong and keep your eyes on the One who holds your future in his hands. My dear friend, it does not matter how many mistakes you have made in your life for we serve a loving God who is always willing to take us back. The bible tells us in 1 John 9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Dear believer, if you can trust that God has created you then you must believe that he has the power to also forgive you if you repent.
Remember, there were two men who betrayed Christ. Judas sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver; Peter betrayed Christ when he denied knowing him after he was arrested. Both sinned and betrayed Christ but Peter is now in heaven with Christ while Judas is set for hell. Why is that? It is because Judas did not think that God was big enough to forgive him of his action! Peter wept bitterly and repented. He trusted that God could forgive him! If Judas had repented and asked for forgiveness, he would have been saved despite what he did against Christ! You must never stand as your own judge and feel that you cannot be forgiven!
You say that you ask god to help you but there is only silence. The truth is that if you will open your bible and read each day, God will speak to you through his word. You are letting the lies of the enemy take you down. The devil wants you to believe that God does not hear you or that he won’t forgive you but those are lies from the very pit of hell! In order to be strong, you must know the God you serve. The way to find out about him is to read your bible. If you seek him you will find him. God does not hide from those who earnestly search for him. Whatever pain and struggle you are facing, surrender it all up to Christ. Give it over to him and do not take it back. Trust that his promises are truth and that he will not fail you. By faith, submit your fears and doubt to him and he will strengthen you! Be strong, my friend, and let the truth be your guide. God is not going to let you struggle alone. He is with you. You may not see him or hear him audibly, but if you trust him, you will know in your heart that he is with you. He will comfort you and give you his peace. Don’t give up – give in to Christ!
I am here if you want to talk. I will be praying for you. I know you are feeling overwhelmed but let God’s word fill you with the knowledge of his truth. You have nothing to fear if you are willing to come in faith to Jesus Christ!

Good Morning Marianne.
What a powerful Word from the Lord. It could not have been said any better.
Yes, the enemy has beefed up his eye of deception around the world and those who are not rooted in the word of God will be deceived by him.
We must study to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.
If there ever was a time to put on the armor of God, the time is now!
GOD BLESS YOU FOR THAT POWERFUL WORD!
Continue to let God use you MIGHTILY!! You are truly appointed for such a time as this.
With the love of Christ, I do love you.
DO TELL THE LORD THANK YOU!
Love,

I need so much help from God, I am getting married to a wonderful woman and plan to move to another state to pursue my dreams. So many things are standing in the way and trying to stop it. I have spoke to God and He told me to continue no matter what, it just gets hard sometimes. I have made a lot of decisions based on what I believed God wanted me to do, He has not steered me wrong. I don’t think he will anytime ever. He is the same today as He was yesterday and will always be the same.

I have been praying for healing for a long time now and in anger (one of those painful God must not be listening to me days) a few years back said some terrible things to God and I was in such a rage I listed off some choice words against Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Since that time I have been tormented by the devil. I have tried to believe God knew I was in a bad way at the time and has forgiven as I have repented for this.
However it has been for me since that time as it says in Lamentations:-
LA 3:44 You have covered yourself with a cloud
so that no prayer can get through.
I believe the devil lies to make our walk with God inaffective. I am choosing to believe the Word of God is true where it says along with healing the following about forgiveness in James:-
JAS 5:14 Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
Surely even having verbally abused the Holy Spirit in frustrated anger (& I was grieved at the time as well I had just lost my favourite pet to cancer) that the Lord might forgive me my transgression.
Since then it has been hard. I have been so sorry for my outburst. I can’t take it back. I do care what I have done and I know it was wrong even doing that in a fit. Too late now. Not sure and now I am constantly tormented. Since then my health has absolutely collapsed. I am in a bad way. I still read the Bible. I pray. I have been obeying the Lord’s Word. I have had some unforgiveness with two people that I have through reading God’s Word and prayer finally been able to let it go fully. I had forgiven these people but the wounds inflicted by their words plagued me all this time but I am free from this now. Surely that was the hand of the Lord?
I am continuing to pray and ask the Lord to forgive me and to assure me of His forgiveness.

Hi Mel, You don’t need to carry that guilt burden around anymore. You have repented and asked God forgive you and it is done! Remember that the Apostle Peter cursed and swore that he didn’t know Jesus! He denied the only true friend and Savior of his. Yet Christ was ready to forgive. You must forgive yourself. We have all said things to God that we wish we could take back. We are blessed that he remembers that we are but dust and is ready to take us back when we repent. His grace is sufficient!
My friend, I have said things to my holy God that were terrible. I repent and thank him for forgiving me. Now I am not going to do the devil’s work of accusing me because my God remembers my sin no more!
I pray that you now have the faith that even when you don’t understand why God allows things to happen in your life that you must just trust with faith and not curse your God. If we could see into our future, we would understand why he allows some things. As it is, we can only see now. And that is even not real clear. Trust him, Mel. No matter if it seems like your world is collapsing, trust that Christ has a purpose in everything he allows in the life of his believers. We have a promise in Christ that he will not withhold any good thing from us. (Psalm 84) And he has told us that he would never leave us nor forsake us. That is all we have to know. Trust him with the rest. Now forgive yourself and let it all go. What you are suffering with right now in your body, Jesus is with you and doing his work through it. He has a divine purpose for all that he allows. You don’t have to see him, hear his voice audibly or feel him to know that what he says he will do.
I am praying for you, friend. Surrender your weakness to Christ. He is your strength to overcome all things. You are never alone.

Marrianne,
Thank you so much for your kind words and prayer.
Yes I am trying to just believe his Word is true and that God does forgive even the worst of offences.
My health situation is unfortunately a ticking time bomb and these past few months just getting worse and worse. I am not looking forward to getting any kind of emergency surgery; if they can save me through emergency surgery. I am having to give over my life to Him (literally).
I am of course concerned for my elderly mother and my husband. I am the only child that truly cares for our mum and can cope with her various strange ways especially now she is old. My husband is estranged from his children from his first marriage and we couldn’t have any children. At least both my mum & husband are Born Again Believers. I would love to be with them a while yet and keep encouraging them in their walk with God, to read the bible and pray.
I have to leave it all to God and allow Him to decide my future. How long will I live? Will my health just limp along like this for a long time? It is possible. No one can tell me what God is going to do and I don’t want my fortune told.
If I could be assured of God’s love and care and closeness all these worries would dissappear and I could just be in the Lord and rest in Him. Satan knows my weaknesses. I am praying and asking for the Lord’s peace and I have had more than in the past. I can only keep praying for the Lord to enable me to TRUST in Him and to give me the strength to endure.
Thank you again for your prayers. I am grateful for your blog the Lord has gifted you with encouraging messages which are truly needed in these End Days. The world is getting darker and more evil I am not the only Christian dealing with such things.

I am at the end of my proverbial rope and don’t know what to do. I feel that God has been relentlessly chasing me for most of my life, and I very recently began to Love Him, but I cannot seem to get His attention with regard to the literal hell my life is. I desperately want and need to be delivered out of this pit that I am in, but God does not seem to care, and things keep getting worse. I have been a functional atheist-agnostic for most of my life, certain of the existence of an Almighty Creator, but doubtful the God of Abraham and His son Jesus were real. My one and only hangup was the Christian doctrine of eternal hell-fire and torment. Eternal burning of all the lost is most definitely sadistic and cruel punishment for a finite life of sin. I had little interest in knowing the God who created this program. In spite of this I attended church occasionally and tried to integrate myself into a body of believers. I left the church completely more than 5 years ago and have never been back. I very recently came to the revelation that the doctrine of eternal burning is a lie. I’m convinced that the bible teaches something quite different. When I came to realize this less than 6 months ago, I began to love Jesus and His Father. However, I cannot seem to rid myself of the hell my life has become, nor does it seem God is interested in helping me out of it. Please pray for faith and deliverance in my life. I am in a desperate place and feel my only option is to take my life, soon. Thank you.

Hello, I thank God for bringing me to this website after googling for an encouraging word on God and how great he is to help me through my trials and tribulations. Lately my partner and I have faced some trials, his family is fighting with him because of me and now even his closest friend. I just don’t understand why all this is happening. His family has not wanted us together from day one and now his best friend, they all Got used to the single fun guy and now we have children and a family it seems we are being attacked! All the things they say about me cause us as a couple to fight and I get to the point to where I say mean things that I don’t mean and I feel if it doesn’t stop our family could be torn apart. Lately with all the stress I tell him lies just to keep him quiet so we won’t argue and I don’t want to be that person anymore. I need God and prayer. I can’t let the Devil attack me and my family anymore. I love my children and my partner he doesn’t deserve this and neither do my children help us both find God so we won’t be torn apart by satan! Please I ask everyone to pray for our situation help his family find peace in their hearts and his friend. I want my family together more than anything please God I ask of you to help us get through all this and become the family you want us to be.

Hi Dan,
You certainly will be a victor as you walk in truth instead of the lies of the devil. We all have doubts when we get into battles and storms. It can be a struggle to hold on in faith. But your hope lies the fact that if your trust is in Christ alone, you have all the power of the heavens and the eath living in you. You are a conqueror through it all because Jesus is your strength and power.
Keep trusting, my friend. As the world continues to grow dark with evil, remember that Christ has promised to be with you always and to the end of time. Read your bible daily and keep the truth in your heart. I will be praying for you.
