He knows how to provide for your need
It is so difficult to watch the television reports each night as bad news just seems to get worse. The economy is grim and has taken its toll on just about everyone. So many people are now without jobs and fear of losing their homes. The struggle of this bleak forecast is causing us all to take a closer look at how we spend our money. People everywhere are now having to worry how they will survive in these dark days.
As tough as things are in this world, we serve a God who is the provider of all that we need. He planned long before the world was formed to take us through every battle and every storm. He knew what we would face and he has a way in his perfect plan to take us through no matter what the economy dictates. But I wonder how many can continue to trust God when the bank is foreclosing on their home?
In Luke 12:22, Jesus said, ” Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear.” He then says in verse 31, “ But seek first the kingdom of God and all things will be given to you as well”. Worrying about your finances is not going to change them. It is only going to take years from your life. Jesus did not leave us on this earth helpless and alone for he is with us in every struggle that comes our way. Your faith must not grow weary when times get tough. Our God is the same in the night as he is in the day. The darkness of your situation does not limit his power. He is ruler over all things and he can bring peace into your life with just a word.
Despite your difficulty, it is important to remember that God is always in control. He is working all things out for his purpose. The things of this world are perishing and will not last. Although you may be struggling just to make ends meet, your faith can be earning for you a reward that far outweighs anything you have to endure. The evil of this world will increase but believers have nothing to fear. Jesus paid that ultimate price for our victory and nothing can destroy his plan for us. Christ has overcome the world and the enemy has been defeated. That means that you can have joy despite the storm you are in because we serve the Master over the wind and he will not let you perish.
Never let your problems or financial difficulties make you doubt the power of your God! He owns the sheep on a thousand hills and all that is created is his. He is so much bigger than anything that comes against you. He is limitless and cannot fit within the confines of your finite minds. His will prevails in all situations. It is the enemy of your soul that wants to fill your mind with fear and doubt that God will help you. Don’t give him a foothold. Take those thoughts of defeat captive and line them up with the promises of God. He hasn’t taken you this far in your life just to have you fail now.
Keep in mind that you are alive and breathing right now because of God’s power. Your heart is beating because he tells it to beat. He put the sun in the sky; he tells the waters where to stop; he calls the stars out by name and he spoke the worlds into existence. Do you still think it is too difficult for him to find a way to help you work out your financial problems?
My friend, God cares about the struggles you are facing. Ask him to help you to stand in faith until he has brought you the victory. Don’t give up when the prize is just ahead. Psalm 32:10 tells us, “The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts him“. That is his promise to you.
Dear Lord, I know that many are having financial problems that seems like it is going to destroy them. I stand in the gap for those who need a touch from you in the area of their finances. I pray for jobs to be restored to those who have lost them. I pray for new and better opportunities to come about. I pray for you to provide homes for those who need them. I pray for you to provide them the food and transportation that they need. I pray that you will be able to keep families together along with their pets. I pray that they will keep their trust in you no matter how hard it gets. Lord, help them to understand that you will not fail them. You will come through for them at the perfect time and in the perfect way. My heart is with them, Lord, and I know that your love will keep them. Amen

“Is anything too hard for the Lord?” – Genesis 18:14
Thank you for this encouraging word today Marianne. I’ve found Psalm 27 to be a comfort during these times as well and hope others will turn to it and have hope and trust in our sovereign God.
God bless you Marianne –

Thank you, Joe, for stopping by and for your comment. This subject has been on my mind because I hear of so many people who are giving up and feeling helpless and hopeless because of their financial problems. How hard it is to stand in faith when you don’t know where you are going to live tomorrow. But that is the time when you must turn all of your unbelief over to him and let him help you to trust him completely. It is only in seeing God’s power to rescue you that you will understand his unfailing love for you.
Bless you, Joe!

Marianne, such inspiring words of truth and encouragement. Truly God is capable of moving problems out of our lives and we know that prayer moves God. I have seen his great hand at work so many times, but how many times his hand has been at work when I have failed to see it, I know not. I am so glad that I have this site to come to and be encouraged by you and those who respond to your writings. There isn’t very many of us left and we all need a prayer warrior such as you to stand in the gap. I believe in miracles because I have seen miracles. I believe in Angels because I have seen Angels. I believe in God because God has seen me….and he loves me anyway; only God could ever do that. Keep the faith my Sister.

Thank you for your kind words, Rev. York. All of our faith comes down to trusting God despite our circumstance. It is believing that he can and will do what is good for us. How foolish we are when we fret over things that God already has planned to take us through. I just pray everyday that my faith will withstand when the days get darker and persecution comes upon us.
You are a great teacher and I thank you for your wonderful messages of truth. I have learned so much from you!

For each and every thing that comes against you, it is important to remember all of the things God is providing for you and protecting you from. I spent so much time fretting over things I lost or didn’t have, problems real and perceived. I wasted time that I should have spent thanking Him for what He did provide, and thanking Him for the fire He sent me through that got me where I needed to be and helped me to become the person I needed to be. He has a plan……….just trust Him.
Get out of His way, get in The Word and let Him work.

Hey this is just enough to remind me about my life situation right now. True enough, we can never trust money because it can simply be lost in an instant. I have a relative who is well off but certain instances when my auntie got hospitalized, all they had was lost instantly. Even me now, I thought I have a stable income but just after a few months, salaries had been delayed.
God is the only one whom we can trust. He is BIGGER than our Problems. And He is faithful in ways we can’t imagine. 🙂

Hi Edwin, I am so glad you stopped by. We all need reminders that our situation is never out of God’s sight. Money can’t cover our problems because, as you said, it can be lost in an instant. That only thing that stands the test is our faith in Christ!!
God bless you in your life.

Right on, M!
God is our source. He is our provider. I personally know several people who’s gas mileage significantly increased when the gas price skyrocketed. God’s economy is not our own. Jesus even fed people when there was very little food around. No worries…..God is in control. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Hi Donny, I appreciate your comment. You are so right, Jesus fed people with next to nothing so why so we worry about what we lack? He is always more than able to provide for what we need.. I think he wants to take us into deeper faith in him during these trying times.
Thanks again.

Excellent post. The virtues and qualities of God’s character and glory are immutable. When God’s Word says in Psalm 25:8 that “Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way,” we can rest assured that God is always good and God is always right. If this be so, then it only makes sense that we continue to trust in the future victory He has promised, even when defeat and disgrace seem imminent. After all, our profession lacks integrity if we forsake Him after He has promised never to forsake us.
“Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.” Psalm 25:19-21

Great encouraging words… Ps 25 says “Indeed, none of those who wait for You will be ashamed…” The word “wait” is the Hebrew “Kava” and means “a faith that keeps on trusting even under stress” How beautiful is that? 🙂 The Lord expects us to be stressed in our learning to lean on Him, but he also wants us to trust him through it. So many give up on the Lord thinking that He doesn’t care, but it is the times that we are going through situations that teach us how to trust the most…
Thank you so much for your care in encouraging the Lord’s flock:)
Blessings

Hi Curlywee! I am so glad you stopped by. When you get a chance, read my article on When God seems silent. I want you to remember that your financial difficulty not only can’t stop God’s perfect plan for your life but that it will be used in the answer that he gives you. He knows what you need and when you need it. He also knows how to provide for those who are his. I am so pleased that you trust that he will not forsake you! That shows that you truly belong to a risen LORD! Hang in there. I have said a prayer for you and will continue to lift you up. You are so right in saying that he has a marvelous plan for you! I am telling you that it will be greater than you can imagine. These dark days are affecting everyone but believers know that we cannot be destroyed or drown beneath the waters of trouble for we are under the blood of a victorious Messiah who knows the path he has for us to take and who has the power to take us there. This victory is already yours. The timing and the path God uses to show you the answer is his for a perfect, divine reason. Just believe!
God bless you my friend.

wow.. i’m in tears. this message is just what I needed to hear. I recently got into dental hygiene school which is such a blessing!! I am assured that it is God’s plan for me because I looked to him in every decision made regarding my future. but lately I have been so worried and anxious about how the funds for school are going to be provided. I say that I trust God but I don’t show it. this message reminded me that God is in control!! He brought me to this and He will bring me through it!! He will provide at the perfect time. I need to truly trust that He is using this situation to teach me to trust Him and ignore my enemy telling me that I won’t be able to pay for this. thank you so much for this!!

Dear friend, I am so glad that God brought you here to give you his word for your situation. You are so right to say that God brought you to your career path and he is perfectly able to take get your through it. So often the enemy of our soul tries to get us to believe that God doesn’t care about our finances or that he won’t show up in time. Those are lies from a defeated enemy. Another ploy he uses is to make you think you won’t make it through your classes or that your will fail. As long as you commit what you do to God and seek first his kingdom, he will give you blessings and favor as you continue in your studies. Keep him first! He knows how to bring you to victoy.
Stop back and let me know how you are doing! God bless you.

Hi Mashekia, I am so glad that you stopped by. We all are facing problems and struggles and it comes down to whether our faith is strong enough to trust that our God will meet us in each storm and take us through. It can be difficult to not give in to fears when we are in serious financial trouble and there seems to be no way out. The truth is that each time we keep our eyes on Christ instead of our problems, we overcome the spirit of defeat and lies. God is more than enough. Remember that no matter how impossible it may seem!
I will keep you in prayer, Mashekia. God will do the rest. Stay in peace!

Welcome Lele, I am so glad that God brought you to my site. He gives me so many messages of hope for us to cling to in these dark times. All of us are going through storms and trials of every kind. The truth is that he has a way to take those who trust him above and beyond their problems. Don’t look a the size of your problem, magnify the God that you serve! The reason we falter in times of distress is because we take our eyes from Christ and are vulnerable to the lies of the enemy. Did not God create you and gift you for every good work? Did he not speak the worlds into existence? Then he has more than shown you that he is able to do what is good for you.
Yes, Lele, the world we are in now is out of control and it will get worse. The good news is that God is able to save his own. I hope you are reading your bible every day. It is the only place that you will find the truth and have the power of God’s word fill you and strengthen you for any battle you face. I had a head knowledge of Christ as Savioor but it wasn’t until I opened the bible and started reading that my eyes were opened and the power of Christ in salvation came upon me. There is power in scripture. Please dear friend, read a little each day. Then watch and see what happens.
I will be praying for you and your family. I take the burden of all who ask me to pray very seriously and I trust that God hears . Keep believing, Lele, and let Christ fight this battle. Never believe that your struggle is too much for Christ to help. Nothing is impossible for him. Each night, I will remember you and your family in prayer. Be in peace and let God show you his power. Please stop back and let me know how you are doing. I am always here for you or you can email me: commish07@zoominternet.net.
Your life and your future is in God’s hands! He is not going to fail you now..

Hi Joseph, I am so glad you have a better understanding that God is in complete control of your financial issues when you surrender them to him. He is the source of all that you have and although it may be tough to wait through the uncertainty of your financial problems, you must trust that God will work this out for your good and his glory. He always has a perfect plan for those who trust him to the end.
